Me at Pop Century Resort with my park bag!

A trip to Walt Disney World can take a lot of intricate planning. You have to book tickets, hotels, dining reservations, lightning lanes, and more! It can be an overwhelming process, especially if you are new to the world of Walt Disney World Vacations. As a travel agent that specializes in Walt Disney World Vacations, I help take much of the planning stress away by helping you remember important dates, walking you through making decisions, and making sure everything is good to go before your vacation!

The one thing I can’t do is pack your suitcase for you. However, I can help you figure out what to pack, and that’s where this list comes in! My husband and I have been to Walt Disney World countless times since 2018, I even worked at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Spring 2019 as part of the Disney College Program! After a few visits, I think we have mastered the packing list for two adults visiting Walt Disney World with no kids. If you have kids, just add all of the kid-specific items to this list, such as diapers, wipes, entertainment, snacks and anything else they may need!

We fly for most of our trips, so we do our best to pack everything into one carry on suitcase and one back pack each so we don’t have to check luggage. ONE of those personal items is usually a back back we plan on taking into the parks, known as a “park bag.” Most of the time, we bring a full-sized back pack in to the parks, especially when we may need a hoodie. During the summer months, we can getaway with a Loungefly as our park bag, and I’ll just stuff it in one of our carryon bags. You can read my “What’s in my park bag” list here. As far as carry on suitcases go, I LOVE our Mickey Mouse American Tourister luggage we have. I use it for every trip I take!

Here is our packing list:

Packed in my personal Item for easy airport/airplane access:

  • Wallets with license, money, Disney Gift Cards, etc.!

  • Magic Bands- if there is a chance you are dropping off luggage at the hotel, keep your Magic Bands easy to grab! If you don’t have Magic Bands, no worries! They are not required by any means and you can use your tickets on your phone or pick up a Key to the World Card at hotel check in.

  • Ibuprofen and other medications that you may need during travel

  • Portable Phone Charger - I pack Fuel Rods for my Disney trips - you can exchange them for charged fuel rods in the parks for free! You can bring one, but I tend to bring two into the parks to help me switch them out when I am not near a Fuel Rod station.

  • Water bottle - make sure it’s empty before going through airport security!

I pack clothes in packing cubes like these to stay organized at the resort. Here is everything else on our list, packed in suitcase or personal item:

  • Sun screen - if flying, remember to bring all liquids in under 3 ounces!

  • Hand Sanitizer - not a MUST, but a must for me! I will clip it onto my park bag!

  • Chapstick

  • Sunglasses/Hats/Ears - I love a good pair of goodr sunglasses

  • Swimsuits - if you think anyone in your party may want to swim or are visiting a water park!

  • Swimsuit cover ups - if planning on swimming!

  • Shirts - one shirt per day, but we always pack a couple extra in case we come back to the hotel for a nap or shower!

  • Shorts/Pants - One pair per day - If traveling in November - March, you may want to consider bringing pants in case it gets colder. I will typically wear athletic pants instead of shorts during the winter. Shorts will work just fine through the rest of the year for the most part! Pack shorts or pants that you can walk miles in and that hopefully won’t chafe!

  • Bras - sports bras will be your best friend!

  • Underwear - I always pack extra!

  • One fancier outfit - If you are wanting to eat at a fancier restaurant of have a date night!

  • Pajamas

  • Shoes - make sure you bring shoes for the parks that are comfortable and that you can walk miles in! I tend to wear crocs (some times with socks), but my husband typically wears Vans.

  • Socks - don’t forget these! If willing to splurge on good socks, I LOVE the Bomba brand.

  • Rain Jacket / Poncho - Do NOT regret bringing this, especially in the summer/fall months!

  • Phone Chargers - Don’t forget this!

  • Magic Band+ charger - if bringing a Magic Band+

  • Chargers for any portable fans or portable charges you bring - although if you bring Fuel Rods, you don’t really need chargers for those since you can swap for free at most resorts and in the parks!

  • Autograph book and pen - never to old to collect autographs! If you don’t already have one, you can purchase in the parks or at Disney Springs!

  • Camera - if you plan on bringing one

  • Anti-Chafe Stick - I love the Body Glide brand!

  • Dramamine - I typically don’t need this too much, but better to be safe than sorry!

  • Bandaids - to help with potential blisters, but you also never know if you may get a scrape or something! I LOVE Nexcare bandages. They are truly water proof and flexible, so you may forget they are on you!

  • Floss - I take Plackers floss picks in a travel case with me!

  • Portable Fan - I SWEAR by these in the summer months! I bring 2 of this brand with me into the parks in the summer.

  • UV umbrella - Okay, so I haven’t brought one myself yet, but many people do and I am always jealous of their shade in the summer months. I haven’t packed one yet just for sake of packing space!

  • Sweatshirt/Hoodie - may be needed at night in the winter!

  • Disney Pins - If you are a pin trader and have some to bring!

I try to pack all of my toiletries in a hanging toiletry bag, similar to this one!

Toiletries:

  • Shampoo - optional, Disney Resorts will have some!

  • Conditioner - optional, Disney Resorts will have some!

  • Hair curler/straightener - I never bring one because I know my hair will be a mess shortly after getting to the park!

  • Soap/Shower gel - optional, the Disney Resorts provide bar soap!

  • Q-tips

  • Allergy medications, flonase, etc. - anything that your family may need!

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Tooth brush

  • Tooth paste

  • Hair brush

  • Hair ties/clips

  • Deodorant

  • Biofreeze or an equivalent - We bring Biofreeze - to help with some pain before going to bed!

  • Razors

  • Shaving Cream

  • Hydrocortisone cream - in case of itchy bug bites!

  • Makeup/Make up Remover - if needed

  • Aloe Vera - in case of sunburn! We bring this brand with us

If you are driving, or make a pitstop at Walmart before arriving at your hotel, you may want to also consider the following:

  • Sodas or waters for your resort

  • Easy breakfast snacks like pop tarts to eat before you head to the parks

  • Snacks for inside the parks, especially if you are wanting to save money - you can bring food into the parks!

I hope this helps you plan what you need to bring for your Walt Disney World Vacation! do you think I am missing anything? Comment below to let me know!

Using a Loungefly as my park bag this day - you’ll never catch us without a park bag!
